Superboys of Malegaon is a film about the life of Nasir Shaikh, an amateur filmmaker from the town of Malegaon. The town’s residents seek a much-needed escape from the daily grind in Bollywood cinema. Nasir is inspired by the people of Malegaon to make a film for the people of Malegaon. He gathers his motley crew of friends to turn his vision into reality and bring new life to the town. The film is a poignant yet uplifting portrayal of filmmaking and friendship – and what happens when these two worlds collide.
