Jude Law in the movie “Skeleton Crew” plus even more stars from a galaxy far, far away
Chronology
Four children make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that causes them to get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s young siblings is the equivalent of Chewbacca’s family hour in the infamous Star Wars holiday special (1978).

Like most ’80s kids, I have fond memories of The Goonies, but I’d be lying if I said that was the direction I was desperate for new Star Wars content to go. I mean, after the disappointment of the sequel trilogy, the rest – all of Disney’s action content except for Andor, Rogue One and the first two seasons of Mando are between mediocre and bad – I’m just hungry for good mature, epic Star Wars- to content.
HOWEVERto be fair, I will say that Skeleton Crew is okay
Give me an Old Republic Andorian-style show with Jedi, Sith, and Nick Gillard as stunt coordinator for lightsaber battles. It’s not offensive or poorly made; it’s not obviously cheap like a Boba Fett book; it’s not aimless like Mando season 3; doesn’t break the story as much as the sequels and Kenobi; he is not deaf like the Acolyte.
It’s actually Star Wars Goonies, a neat little story about a bunch of kids going on adventures in the Star Wars universe
Hooray? The writing so far (from episode 2 onwards) is decent: the effects, costumes and locations look great: it all has a certain charm.

I think, like Andor, this is a passion project for its creators, and the upper echelons see it as a side project, which they therefore didn’t bother to get into, which is a blessing for Lucasfilm so far today. 7.5/10..
